Claire Flynn Sellers is an associate attorney at Varner & Van Volkenburg. She maintains a diverse practice focused on estate planning, estate administration,and real property needs. Claire’s practice also involves litigation including the defense of corporations. Claire’s practice also specializes inworking with new businesses and can assist with entity selection and formation.
Claire is admitted in the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. She is also admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Claire graduated from Salem College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy. Claire moved to West Virginia in 2014 and attended West Virginia University College of Law where she received a CALI Award for the highest grade in her Business Transactions Drafting course. In her third year, she was selected to work in the WVU Law’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Law Clinic where she participated in a project focused on educating West Virginians about the potential dangers of entering into rent-to-own agreements. During her summers at WVU Law, Claire worked as a research assistant as well as a legal intern with the West Virginia Department of Transportation Division of Highways legal division. Following graduation, Claire worked at McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner, L.C. before joining the team at Varner & Van Volkenburg.
Claire currently resides in Bridgeport, West Virginia with her husband, Brandon.
